- Mr. Charchit Agrawal
As an insurance enthusiast, Charchit has a vast wealth of knowledge and experience in this area. He is currently the Principal Consultant at NMG Consulting who serves as a General Insurance Consultant in the Asia Region. He has been the founder of Kislay Actuarial Education in India which aims to help actuarial students to become more employable, and to up-skill those who are already employed.
Previously, he was the Appointed Actuary/ Chief Actuary at QBE Insurance. Heading the actuarial function, his responsibilities included the quarterly valuation, CAR modelling, Portfolio Analytics, and dealing with requests from the local regulator, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). He was also the Adjunct Professor in UCSI Education Group who taught actuarial practices exam, providing students practical insights on how to apply actuarial knowledge to the General Insurance Industry.
He is qualified as the Fellow and received Certificate in Data Science from IFoA. In addition to being the Chief Examiner, he has been appointed as the IFoA End Point Assessor – Apprenticeship Level 7. He graduated from Delhi University with a Master’s majoring in Statistics in 2007. He then pursued his studies in Cass Business School, London and graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma with Merit in Actuarial Management in 2009.
- Mr. Murshid Ali Kuttihassan
Murshid is a proven actuarial business leader with experience in three major international markets (US, Canada, India) and building and managing teams with hundreds of actuarial resources. Murshid also has experience in successfully executing long term strategies that involve reorganization of both work and people.
Murshid brings a rare combination of leadership, managerial and technical skills to his work. His recent accomplishments include expanding MetLife’s actuarial footprint in India from 60 odd resources to 230+ in a span of two years and bringing significant policy and cultural changes resulting in lower attrition, higher employee engagement and better customer satisfaction.
In his current role, Murshid leads MetLife’s 230+ actuarial team in Noida supporting various functions including ALM, Pricing Oversight, Valuation, Reporting, Reinsurance, Modeling and Experience Studies.
Murshid is also an engineer with significant experience in programming and systems development. He also holds two separate master’s degrees, one in Mathematics (Arizona SU) and the other in Actuarial Science (Waterloo).
In addition to being a Fellow Actuary from SoA and CIA, he is a CFA Charterholder and a GARP-certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
